I was an "over packer" and needed to change. After seeing the Nomad Lane Bento Bag on my favorite YouTube channels I had to see for myself. I ordered the color Dawn which is a lovely pale pink. It is well made and gave me more room for my personal bag items. That then allowed me to get the rest of my things into a carry on bag. It was so easy to organize the bag. It's perfect for weekend trips without a carry on. I am traveling lighter and happier these days.

Such a versatile bag! I love that I can have my clothes folded in the suitcase portion - no stuffing clothes in the bottom of a duffel! But still plenty of room for my personal items and toiletries, and it fits under the airplane seat - yes! I bought the Dune Khaki and it’s a gorgeous neutral. Highly recommend!

I really like the bag. Used it on my first one week trip. Getting used to the functionality. I wish the water bottle sleeve was a little deeper, but I do like the fact that it’s available to throw a narrow bottle in quickly.I feel organized and a polished book carrying it around. Next trip two weeks international and I plan to take the bag.

Ultimate organization in a gorgeous bag! I absolutely love the accessibility of the zippered, light colored interior compartments. The toiletry and electronics pouches are perfect for easy TSA access. I can’t wait for my upcoming cruise, and will never travel again without my Bento.

I have not used this bag yet!, but I did pre-pack with some of my items I normally carry. I can tell this bag is going to be worth it. Lots of space and places to put my items where I can find them. I plan on going for a weekend trip in a couple of weeks, so I will see. I do love how sturdy it feels.

I've been eyeing the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane for years. I saw a few videos and it looked promising. I finally decided to pull the trigger and went all out. I got the Bento Bag, both sizes of the Tomodachi Sling and the Ikigai Backpack in the Verde/Gunmetal color way. Oh boy!!! I can't wait to take the pieces on an upcoming trip.

I have spent about 6 months researching this bag and checking out as many YouTube videos as I could find but none of them really showed you just how much you can put in this bag. This bag is expensive and I really wanted to make sure it would work. I travel carry-on only, so I packed for a 10 day trip. There is 10 tops, 6 pants, 10 underwear, 10 socks, 2 night wear, makeup, hair products, medication and my electronics in this bag. This bag fully loaded weighted 14 pounds, easy to lift and to put on your shoulder. Now I wouldn't recommend packing this tight but I wanted to show you just how much room is really in this bag. It is so well thought out and let me tell you, there are very few things you see on the internet that is better in person, but this is better than any picture I saw on line. I would buy this bag again in a heartbeat and I recommend it to everyone that is traveling. My only suggestion to the company is that the liquids bag is too small but the pocket it slides into is big enough for the liquids bag I travel with so it not a big deal to me.

I had a problem with the monogram and when I emailed about it very quickly I got the most wonderfully caring response from customer service. You can order these bags without fear, they stand behind their products and with such great customer service they will have loyal customers for a very long time! And my ginger kitty Duncan loves them too!

I purchase the Bento bag for an upcoming trip I had to Europe. My sister had one and that is how I heard about it. When I saw what it looked like and what all fit inside it I knew it would be the perfect item to go with my carry-on. I have a Tumi backpack but the bento bag allowed for better storage with the items I would be taking.

-Fit under the seat in front of me on all Delta and KLM flights. The picture below is on the smallest of our flights and the bag fit fine under the seat. I did not want to use my dirty shoes to push it under the seat. Otherwise it would have gone further forward.
-The tech pouch and toiletries bag were easy to retrieve and store.
-Tablet fit with ease, no laptop needed this trip. I did test it out before packing and both my laptop and tablet will fit with no issue.
-The outermost zipper pocket is great for items you may need while in the airport. Travel documents, forms, wet wipes, coinpurse, and such. These items are easy to get to whike to bag is on your carry-on or on your shoulder.
-Easy to clean!!! By the 2nd day my bag had dust/dirt smudges and someone's carbonated drink had exploded on it while on a bus to the terminal. I wiped it down with a pocket wet wipe and it was good as new.
-I was able to pack a sweatshirt with room to spare.

I will do an updated review after 6 months of using the bag. As for now, I am impressed with the functionality and love the design.

Bento in Violet color and I got the Tomadachi sling in black , it arrived good timing for my flight to Texas. I love the layout of the bag! I’m able to roll 4 tops, denim flowy fabric pant, nylon shorts, a bag of underwear, 2 bras, thin blanket& gifts &snacks.. Instead of laptop,my headphones inside and jewelry pouches. I had my flat sandals packed. Bag came with the 2 toiletry pouches that I Love! . I love the convenience of the phone slot which was handy. The dustbag came in handy as I did not want to just store underneath the plane seat and I saw a video utube where the gal who loves her bento (heated mess) I believe channel is name but she placed her bento in dustbag before putting underneath seat so that’s exactly what I did . It take little extra seconds to do but I don’t mind I prefer keeping bag good hygiene . The long belt strap was convenient and comfortable. It can get heavy but that what u can use carry on for . P.S I’ve been home from my trip for about almost 2 weeks and still using the tomadachi sling bag! I absolutely love it ! take it on daily walks.

Packed for 5 days in my Bento bag (capsule color black) and it all fit. The Bento bag fit under the airplane seat with my Leatherology large tote.

BEST PERSONAL ITEM/TRAVEL BAG. Period. I used this on an international trip in May 2026. Organized compartments are intuitive & eliminate the "hassle factor" when you need to get something from inside the bag. +Plus: Zip pocket for passport/hard copy boarding pass/ID is located where you need it.

Perfect "sweet spot" size holds everything without being stuffed - that's the win!

This worked MUCH better than a tote on a previous int'l trip, & it holds just as much - See photos for comparison. Everything I needed fit b/c of the built-in mini cases and the compartments. FYI I packed: an outfit, a pair of shoes, cosmetics, 2 paperback books, a mini umbrella, a travel wrap (scarf), slippers, snacks & a laptop.

PROS:

High-end Quality.
Leather Handles are the perfect size = comfortable in hand.
Shoulder Strap = comfortable b/c there's enough padding on the part that sits On Top of your shoulder.
Handle Drop is the right length! = can carry it like a shoulder bag BUT ALSO when carrying by the handles, the bag isn't too close to the ground.
Trolley Sleeve Difference = zips along the bottom to become an additional convenience pocket.
Built-in "Liquids case" in its own zip compartment = great if TSA asks, & during flight when time to freshen up
Built-in "Tech case" = no rummaging thru a cavernous tote or backpack for earbuds or cords = win!
Clothing did not get crumpled up b/c of clamshell packing design = win!
Computer Sleeve can be accessed without opening everything else = win!
Intuitive design.
Fits under the seat = win! (*for int'l commuter planes, check their rules)

So, now you can stop looking at bags. Buy this bag. It'll rid your trip of the hassle-factor, while you look chic & stay organized.

I did a lot of research before choosing which carry on bag I wanted to buy for my upcoming travels and so happy I chose the Nomad Lane Bento bag. It’s the perfect size and I love all the organization this bag offers. I chose to add personalization to the bag and love how it turned out.

As a self-proclaimed bag addict, I have to say ... I LOVE THIS BAG! The quality is superb ... both the materials and the manufacturing. Not only does it have an elegant aesthetic, but there are pockets and niches and crannies galore ... OH MY! Mine also came with the accessory set, which is equally awesome! I bought mine in Dune Khaki and it is gorgeous! Though I'm sure all the other colors are beautiful as well. Many thanks to Aly Smalls for the recommendation (she's on YouTube - see link below).

I just received my Bento bag and absolutely love it! Size is perfect. High quality and organization galore. I did a lot of research before I purchased this and was down to the Away Everyday bag or the bento bag. So happy I went with this bag and can hardly wait for my upcoming trips to utilize. I opted to get it personalized since black is such a common color. Initials added are maybe just a little larger than I expected but it stands out and turned out amazing!
