I am someone who makes a spreadsheet and does hours of research for any decent sized purchase. I’ve been using my expandable Longchamp as a personal item for the last 5 years, and while it’s an amazing bag and still looks brand-new, it’s been increasingly difficult to take it on planes due to the lack of trolley sleeve and organization. I probably compared 20 different personal item bags, mainly duffels and totes, before I came across the Bento Bag. I watched dozens of reviews of this bag and I really thought it was too good to be true. Then I received it. I tested it with so many different packs and it was everything I’d hoped for and then some. I’m currently using it as my personal item in Japan, and it has doubled as an overnight bag for when we do luggage forwarding. It’s definitely easier to travel with on top of my carry-on, but the crossbody strap makes it a little easier to carry when I don’t have my suitcase. It fits the perfect amount of stuff and the firm shape helps avoid bulkiness. I love that everything I need is right at my fingertips. I didn’t know what I was missing til I had it, and now there’s no going back. I’ve already convinced 2 other people to get this bag. If you’re on the fence, please trust in the hours of research I did and take the plunge.

Best luggage
Although I haven’t traveled with my bag yet, I have it all packed and ready to go. The organization is incredible and I like how easy it is to access my items. I wasn’t expecting the bottle carrier to hold my 32oz nalgene bottle and when it did it I was so happy bc the majority of drink holders can’t accommodate such large bottles. It’s a snug fit but it works for me.
The only thing I wish I could add are wheels.
It’s a lovely bag and can’t wait to use it.
I bought this bag based on a recommendation from someone I follow on IG. I was a little apprehensive to pay ~$300 for a bag, BUT, so far I am SO PLEASED I did. I haven't used the bento bag yet, It's going to Spain with me next week and I'm very excited to have everything in its place inside this gorgeous bag! OH! I did reach out to customer service twice, and they were helpful and friendly!
