Origami Tote

I have the Bento Bag (which I LOVE) and use for big trips. For my 2-3 day trips or week long trips, this bag is PERFECT. it holds so much but the important part for me is all the organization. Being organized is critical when traveling and this bag couldn’t be more perfect. I will have this (and use this) forever! Another AMAZING Nomad Lane bag.

I bought the first version and loved it, but it was a bit too small. Once my laptop was inside, it was hard to open the bag or reach anything else. This new version fixed all those issues — I can easily access every compartment even with my laptop in the bag. I use it every day and always get compliments on it.

I travel a lot, A LOT, and I have tried dozens of personal bags to find the right one. When Nomad Lane decided to go bigger on the origami tote, it was an instant “yes” for me. I have almost all of their products and consistently reach for the origami tote in black. Now it’s bigger and in a beautiful light pink color, worth every penny!

I have long anticipated this tote. I have the V.2 tote and love it, but need larger. I also have the Bento Bag. I travel monthly for business. Here are my initial thoughts. The good: Great size. Contrast lining is appreciated. The separate zip pocket for laptop is a fantastic design choice. The front pocket and inside larger zip pocket will be well used. Handles are great and sewn in well. Feet are good and nylon exterior is matte and classy. It is nicely lightweight. The bad: the front pocket is slightly smaller than V.2.. The top zip on the V2 has 2 zippers so you could zip from either end. This V3 has only one. I can see myself shoving it under the seat in front of me only to later discover I have to wiggle it around mid-flight to get to the zipper. No long shoulder strap and NO D-rings!!!! I can live without the shoulder strap, but not even a single D-ring to hang my little things on! Very sad about that. The padding in the laptop area, while adequate, feels much cheaper to the touch. Finally, and this is a personal choice thing, I hate the hardware color. It’s not ugly. It’s just not pretty. I miss the shiny gold. Overall, I will use this tote-probably a lot. But I will keep my eye out for my next bag, because I am an admitted bag snob and perfect bags bring me joy. Note to Nomad Lane: charge $50 more and bring back quality. Your customers have already decided they don’t want cheap. There are 10,000 cheap options. You have wonderful products. Don’t lose that reputation!

Needed a bag that not only was serviceable but offered security. Not only multi purpose but keeps items safely hidden.

Amazing bag! The organizational pockets make it easy to find everything, and it holds both work and personal items without feeling bulky. It's comfortable on my shoulder and looks very professional. I have tried many tote bags over the years, and I now feel like I can stop looking.

I’ve been waiting for this to come back in stock forever so when I received an email notification that they were back in stock I immediately made my purchase. This bag is an absolute dream! Big and roomy enough to hold all my travel needs as a personal item and it’s not heavy at all! This has become my daily everyday bag as well. Keeps all my things organized and the quality is superb. Worth every cent!

This bag is lightweight, has lots of pockets to organize your essentials, zippers are smooth and the material seems water-repellent. I plan to use this on my next trip as my personal item bag as my Nomad Lane backpack, which I have used in all my travels, cannot accommodate my monopod. I thought I’d try a tote bag this time and am so happy my monopod fits inside😁. However, I’m giving this tote bag four stars because it is not anti-theft. When you leave your bag underneath the seat during flights for bathroom breaks, or, you fall asleep during long flights, since the zippers are not lockable, a thief can unzip the bag and steal things. So, hopefully, the next generation of bags from Nomad Lane would have lockable zippers like other companies’ to deter thieves from targeting the bag. That said, I highly recommend this bag for work or travel.
