Ikigai Backpack

While I liked the 1st version of the Ikigai backpack, I rarely had use for it due to its smaller capacity, instead opting for a larger backpack when traveling. The second version maintains the features I loved about the original: the simplistic but elegant design, lightweight but durable fabric, and my favorite feature, the closed-loop straps; furthermore, the slightly larger capacity is a welcome change. The green color is a nice touch too. Overall, this is one of my favorite travel items in my collection.

Got this for an upcoming trip. I like the material, it‘s very smooth and soft likely to repel stains and water very nicely. Lots of pockets and dividers, nicely padded pocket for my iPad Pro. I like that the bottle holder on the side has a zipper to make it more streamlined when not in use. The adjustable straps are also very comfortable and I like that there aren’t any hanging flaps when shortening them.
Great hidden zippered pocket on the back for a passport or money clip.
Looks like it will hold its shape well while stowing this under the airplane seat.
I hope it will perform well.

I did a TON of research looking for the perfect Personal Item for travel. So happy I found Nomad Lane. Love that the interior is light so it’s easy to find things. The straps are comfortable and the trolley sleeve glides easily. Lots of organization and it’s so light. Highly recommend.

Finally received after about a month in shipping. Smaller than I thought and very light despite being a bag that can stay upright on its own when empty. Found some loose fabric left inside but otherwise seems like a great quality bag. Picked this bag over the Away backpack because I liked the idea of having no loose straps.

I love love love the Ikigai Slim Backpack. I’ve been using it as my everyday bag and it’s perfect for my daily needs. I’m able to carry my 14- inch MacBook Pro, 11-inch iPad Pro, notebook and accessories. I like the style and it’s beautiful to look at!

Excellent backpack. Not too big or too small. Excellent construction and pockets where you need them. Perfect for the carryon only nomads.

I have been looking for a lightweight travel backpack with pockets for my essentials. I hate it when the actual backpack is heavy before I put anything in it. The BEST feature is the back zipper pocket for my phone/wallet.

The Ikigai backpack is everything that is promised: streamlined with great organization. The straps are very clean looking with no dangling ends. That said, you can only tighten them so far. I am petite and the bag was hanging low on my back even with the straps as tight as they could go. It would be very uncomfortable loaded up. I had a tailor shorten the straps and it’s perfect for me now.

This backpack appears to be a great quality backpack and very manageable for my 5'3" frame. I still favor the tote the best, but this backpack will be nice to go hands free on my next trip. Just wish the laptop compartment locked. There is no locking ring to lock the zipper pull to. Otherwise great product. PS: For me, the tote and backpack are the best. My bento bag throws my back out when packed. It's just too heavy even when using the crossbody strap.

I bought my backpack for a bucket-list trip. It is such an elegant and durable product. The number of pockets were perfectly situated and it didn't have the typical messy/slouchy look. It deterred me from overpacking and I absolutely love it!

The backpack looks really nice and is made to last. I own everything Nomad lane!! I’m happy with my purchase.

I have been eyeing this for a while and finally pulled the trigger on the dusk version. I already own a Bento Bag and was looking for something a little smaller. This has the same amazing nylon fabric, quality zippers, and organizational features along with no-dangle straps - love that! It's a nice addition to my ever increasing travel collection.

Light weight, spacious and functional for work and travel. Has lots of pockets to stay organize.. Shoulder straps are comfortable. Enjoyed using the backpack for the past month.

Premium materials and smart design choices make this great for everyday or travel. Very spacious despite its more compact size, and its more rigid shape keeps it from ever being too slouched or lumpy. My one personal con would be that the straps at the shortest length are still a bit too long for my 5'8 frame. I'l prob sew a solution for that but its worth noting.

This is well made. I feel like there are so many organization and security features. Fabric is nice and looks easy to clean. It is comfortable to wear. It fits well atop a carryon hard she suitcase.

I ordered this backpack because mine always ended up too heavy to carry on hikes. Unfortunately the Ikigai came the day I left for an Alaskan cruise! But I was so happy to open the package when I returned home. It was what I had needed, light comfortable and the Dusk color was beautiful. I really like how I can have my things organized now and not have to search for them. I will be definitely enjoying this backpack once the weather cools

Great basic, dependable, backpack. I appreciate that it has the handle strap on the back in case you wanted to loop it around your suitcase (although depending on how high your handle is, it might be a little awkward with the vertical weight distribution along the handle). I'd say this bag is a good choice if you want to have the bag double duty as a usable daily bag. It's a minimal design so if you use it out and about outside of an airport it won't raise any eyebrows.

I recently got this backpack during an amazing sale where it came as a free item when I purchased the bento bag. This is one of the best backpacks I’ve ever laid my hands on. I gifted this backpack to my husband because he commutes to work 3 times a week and walks to the metro, etc. He has been using this backpack for a couple weeks and he loves it! I love it as well because it’s water resistant which is super important if you have your laptop inside. The design is thoughtfully designed with a laptop pad inside that protects your laptop or iPad. It has tons of pockets for major organization of all your things you need. It’s got a water bottle holder which is key especially if you carry water bottles all the time. It has a luggage strap on the back if you want to take it to travel so it can attached to your luggage handle. It fits so much stuff but still looks slim and not bulky! I also love that the inside color is lighter so you can see inside the bag and not have your items lost in the darkness. And most importantly, the bag looks so sleek and very classy to bring to work, to the airport, traveling, or any other occasion you may need it. I highly recommend this backpack. I plan to get more for my parents!

The Ikigia Slim Backpack it’s very stylish and looks great as not only a travel bag but something I could use every day. It has so many pockets and spaces to tuck things that I am super excited to use this bag. It is well-made and all the zippers work great cause that’s the first thing I always check on a new bag. It is an excellent addition to my travel luggage.

It definitely is slim. Probably wouldn’t use for travel but my laptop and few items I take to work - it’s good for that.

I received this Backpack as a promotional item for purchasing the Bento 4 Bag during Black Friday. The backpack is very nice, lightweight and slim verses my bulky backpack. I have lower back issues and carrying this backpack verses my current backpack will be a welcome sign of relieve.

This backpack is a perfect match to the Bento 4 bag and the two of them together will be great on a 3 - 4 day trip. I will use the backpack as a personal item and the Bento 4 Bag as my carry on.

I am always looking for the perfect carry-on bag and always looking for something smaller than what I normally carry which is the bento bag (love it! especially for my 2 & 3 day trips). However at times I have a day trip OR on duty all night and sometimes I just need to put my REQUIRED items plus a little extra just in case in something smaller. Love this backpack for this.

I like the smaller profile of this back, but at first I thought this backpack might not be big enough for me to haul all the items I need for work. To my surprise everything fit and I can stay organized on the go.
