The Nomad Lane Bento Backpack has been designed to fit perfectly under major airline seats so you don't only have easy access, but can fit more in a what can be considered a personal item.

How to Clean Your Bento Backpack

We recommend spot-cleaning the Bento Backpack as needed. Simply take a white damp cloth and gently rub it over the affected area until clean. Please allow 5-10 minutes to dry off before using it again.


For example, how would you clean a coffee stain?

1. Blot Immediately

  • Use a clean dry cloth or paper towel to gently blot the stain.
  • Avoid rubbing — that can spread the stain or push it deeper into the nylon weave.

2. Rinse from the Back

  • Hold the stained area under cold running water (back side of the fabric facing the faucet).
  • This helps flush the coffee out rather than pushing it deeper in.

3. Wash with Mild Soap

  • Mix a few drops of mild dish detergent or gentle laundry detergent with cold or lukewarm water.
  • Dip a soft cloth or sponge in the solution, wring out excess water, and dab the stained area in gentle circular motions.
  • Let it sit for 5–10 minutes.

4. Rinse and Check

  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
  • If the stain persists, repeat step 3 once more.

5. For Stubborn Stains

  • Mix 1 part white vinegar + 2 parts cold water.
  • Dampen a clean cloth with the mixture and dab on the stain for a few minutes.
  • Rinse again thoroughly and blot dry.


6. Dry Properly

  • Pat with a dry towel to absorb excess moisture.
  • Hang or lay flat to air dry indoors, away from direct sunlight or heat (which can distort the nylon or coating).
